If there’s one saving grace to dealing with this horrible political climate we’re forced into, the New York Giants playing like absolute garbage and realizing our obsession with avocado toast will keep us living in studio apartments forever, it’s that there is alcohol to sooth all of our pain. If you ask me, there’s nothing like winding down your stressful day of pretending you make enough money to live than by having a glass or five of your favorite wine. It’s pure bliss. That’s why I almost lost my sh*t when I saw a study from CNN that reported global wine production has reached a “50-year-low,” because of global climate change.
Several sources have reported that the global climate change has introduced “extreme weather conditions” in areas where wine production is extremely high – such as Italy, Spain, and France. In turn, their harvests are suffering. And, for all of you who rely on American-made wine from California’s beautiful vineyards, well, in case you missed it there have been immense wildfires sweeping that region. The production has reached such a low that experts are predicting wine prices will be on the up and up come 2018.
