People Are Dragging Taylor Swift On Twitter After She Said She ‘Couldn’t Have Asked For A Better Year’

2017 has been a pretty rough year for many of us. Besides our own personal issues, we’ve had a rough year living here in the United States of America. With Trump leading our country into a Nuclear Winter, more men thinking it’s okay to harass and rape women and go ahead living their lives as though they never did anything wrong, and free Internet basically becoming obsolete before our very eyes – yeah, I’d say this year was absolute trash. But, one person who has had a pretty great year seems to be Taylor Swift.

Besides the fact that I can’t stand Taylor Swift, I think that she is a talented and well-known pop star with a huge voice that can reach millions of people. When it comes to politics and social activism, Swift usually stays pretty quiet. To me, that shows a weak person. When you have a powerful voice and a platform to speak on, I believe it’s your job to show your fans what kind of person you truly are and be a role model to them. Swift, however, falls short of this in my eyes. Unless, of course, it involves her personally – like her Time Magazine cover.

Recently, Swift posted an Instagram photo from London during a concert of hers, saying:

I love you guys so much. This was a photo @paul_sidoti took at @capitalofficial Jingle Bell Ball in London a few days ago. I couldn’t have asked for a better year, all thanks to you. Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Can’t wait to see what 28 will be like. See you on tour ?

Couldn’t have asked for a better year? Is this for real? Have you been sleeping all year? Come on girl, wake up, 2017 has been an absolute sh*t show and in fact, it has been one for you as well…at least I had thought it was. If someone is sexually assaulted, I’d say that’s a bad year. If your fans are being attacked and their families are being deported, I’d say that’s a pretty bad year, too. Fans on Twitter were not having Taylor’s “best year ever” comment.
