Whenever a show is wildly popular in pop culture, people love to talk about it. For example – we all know how much everyone at PizzaBottle loves talking about Game of Thrones. In retrospect, a lot of television was first created and originated so that people would have things to talk about at “the water cooler” at work (if you don’t know what that means, you’re too young for me). Even TV shows that have been off the air for some time still manage to find their way in our everyday conversations because, thanks to Netflix and other streaming services, we never really “lose” a show anymore.
With “Friends” being as popular now as it was in the 90’s, it seems as though more questions are arising as younger generations watch it for the first time almost 20 years later. Back then, a lot of things made sense – but, now, they don’t always. Things in NYC have changed since those 6 friends were living in beautiful, lavish apartments and still able to stay there while in between jobs. It’s no wonder then that we are so curious and hungry for information. And, that translates into theories.
One Reddit user has come up with a brand new theory about Monica Geller on “Friends,” – the high-strung chef that lived in the perfect, rent-controlled apartment. The theory? Monica had a serious drug problem.
