This post seems extremely necessary seeing as how we’re facing one of the most prominent flu epidemics in history. A scientist in California Nicole Ward did an experiment to support the idea that people shouldn’t use electric hand dryers in public restrooms. Her findings went viral and I mean in the internet way, not the way that will get you sick but I’m sure what she discovered would for sure have you under the weather. This post has blown up in the past week after being shared 550,000 times. So hopefully people will start getting the memo to stick to paper towels. If you want to use the electric hand dryer, you’re essentially incubating all of this bacteria all over your hands. It’s gotten to the point where Dyson has hired microbiologists to debunk Ward’s initial findings. Just to be safe and only use a paper towel, alright?
Ward’s Experiment.

“I stuck the open plate in an enclosed hand dryer of a public bathroom for a total of 3 minutes. Yes, 3 only. DO NOT EVER dry your hands in those things again.’
The fact of how quickly this disgusting petri dish began to bloom is what’s really bothering people. It’s so crazy to think that we’ve all been incubating these appalling bacterias all these years, thanks a lot, technology. It’s easy to see why this viral post has had so many people shook, and from looking at the comments, it’s easy to see that Nicole Ward’s finding isn’t falling on deaf ears seeing as how people are already pledging to convert to strict paper towel users. With what seems like half of the entire nation sick with the flu we figured we’d share a little tip to try and keep you all happy and healthy during this flu epidemic.
