Fans Believe The Doritos Super Bowl Ad Finally Proved A Popular ‘Game Of Thrones’ Theory

Since the Doritos commercial aired a ton of fans are pointing to the fact that this Doritos ad proves a popular fan theory. No, not that Morgan Freeman will make a cameo in Season 8 and save all of Westeros. The idea is that Tyrion has been a secret Targaryen this entire time! Many fans point out things from both book and show that point to this. A lot of fans think Tyrion is the son of Joanna Lannister and Aerys Targaryen, the Mad King. There are mentions in the book of how the King was obsessed with Joanna when Tywin was the king’s hand. Tyrion in the books is also described to have one green eye one black eye and much paler blonde hair than all other Lannisters. Targaryeans have silver hair and purple eyes in the book so fans believe there could be some cross breeding going on!

In the show, there is the strange scene during season 6 in episode 2 when Tyrion visits Dany’s dragon’s when they are locked up. The only other characters who interacted with the dragons without getting burnt to a crisp are Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow (Aegon Targaryen), and last but not least Tyrion Lannister? Obviously, I’m sure you know that the book and show are relatively different. In the show, all Starks have some form of warging or green-seeing ability. Many people turn to the dragon’s colors as an indicator of Tyrion’s true identity.

First, we have Drogon who is Dany’s go to dragon she rides him first. He is the biggest, and fiercest Drogon has black scales which symbolizes a Targaryean well. Rhaegal is the second largest and is the green dragon. Many people point out that Rhaegal’s name is an ode to Jon’s birth father and Jon has ties to nature being from the north and potentially green-seeing abilities. So fan’s believe that leaves Rhaegal as Jon Snow’s (Aegon Targaryen) Dragon. This is where things get interesting this is how Viserion is described in the books.

The majority of Viserion’s scales are cream, but his horns, wing bones and spinal crest are gold colored. His teeth are shining black daggers. His eyes are two pools of molten gold and his flame is pale gold shot through with red and orange. Viserion has a roar that would send a hundred lions running.

What do you think?

Lions? Gold? He is also the smallest of the three which fans believe points directly to the idea that Tyrion is the mad king’s son. If you also listen to Tywin, he constantly tells him ‘you are no son of mine’ which we all believe is because Joanna died during childbirth. Also as Tyrion said ‘All dwarves are bastards in their father’s eyes.’ Tywin says if he could have proven Tyrion wasn’t his he would’ve let him wash out to see. If you take these words literally Tywin straight up told us from the beginning. What do you guys think about Tyrion Targaryen? Do you think the books or show might reveal this theory to be true?
