And for those of you telling me to "stay safe" and protect myself: being "rude" IS a way of staying safe and protecting myself. When a woman you do not know brushes you off, won't say hello back or thank you for your compliment or whatever, THIS IS WHY. SHE IS PROTECTING HERSELF.

So next time you wanna get butthurt about it, try and consider WHY she might be acting that way. Consider that if she is nice to a man who later turns creepy people will tell her she should have been more careful.

You know a similar thing happened to me, a guy asked me what the tine was as I was walking to my bus stop so I told him. He said thanks and I kept walking…. but he followed me to my bus, got on the bus and followed me to my stop and asked if I wanted to have sex with him.

He actually had the audacity to ask me to take him back to my house, he has nowhere to go and he wants to have sex. All because I literally gave him the time…
I managed to shake him off before my home but he was touching me a lot and I was frozen. That's why I'm rude now.— Comfortable EXO is my aesthetic (@AlenaAubrey) January 13, 2018
A couple months back, I was walking downtown Pittsburgh to school with my headphones. Suddenly someone grabs my arm and it’s an older man. Already freaked out, he proceeds to look at me strangely as I take a headphone out of my ear.

He then proceeds to tell me he’s been yelling st me and was mad but now sees I could hear him. I do not know this man. He tells me he was about to call me some pretty nasty names but realizes “I’m a nice girl” who would “ignore him”. As if I know him in the slightest.

He asks me if I have any change or rolling papers, which I truthfully didn’t. Then he tries to chat with me as I’m inching towards the crosswalk to get away from him. I finally am able to walk away, shaking, until I get to school.

No one EVER has the right to touch anyone without consent, ESPECIALLY someone you don’t know.

I once said ‘Happy new year’ to an older neighbour, whom I’d seen around. He took this as an invitation to grab me. Since when has been wishing someone a happy new year been a come on?

I had some guy come up to me at the train station once and asked me if i wanted to see his weed garden and started showing me pictures. I was freaking out. Turns out, he was arrested for like child trafficking a few weeks later.
I'm so sorry this happened.— Brittany (@Hey_ItzBrittt) January 5, 2018
I’m sorry this happened to you!
This has happened to me so many times. Twice it got to the point where I had to scream “LEAVE ME ALONE. DO NOT FOLLOW ME.” to gain the attention of people around so I could buy some time to run (yes RUN) away.

Had a similar experience years ago. Walking my dogs at small park near my house. Guy gets down on ground, petting my dogs. Nice, right? Yes, until he starts caressing my legs and saying, "Pretty, pretty." UGH. Since you can see my house from there, I took alt route home.
