Say what you will about Kim Kardashian, but the woman is a hustler. The savvy businesswoman has a net worth of about $175 million, much of which was amassed by her booming makeup empire, successful gaming app, and, of course, KUWTK. Now, the pop culture icon is adding another job title to her roster— she will be executive producing her own beauty competition series called Glam Masters.
The trailer for Glam Masters recently dropped, and while it is very aesthetically pleasing it divulges little to no information regarding the show itself. Regardless, we’re stoked on beautiful slow-motion shots of makeup flying around as well as the judges of the show: Laverne Cox (yasssss), Kim’s makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic, makeup artist Kandee Johnson, and British fashion editor Zanna Roberts Rassi.
Kim announced the show on Snapchat, saying: “So excited to announce the premiere date, host and judges for Glam Masters, the new beauty competition I’m executive producing.”
Glam Masters will premiere on February 28th at 10pm on Lifetime, and while we really know nothing about the format of the show or how much of a presence Kim will actually have, we’re hoping it’ll be like Chopped but with makeup. Like, “here are your three basket ingredients plus a fourth curveball ingredient (like strawberries or bird shit) now put together a red carpet look in 30 minutes.”
Besides, can you really go wrong with a network among whose ranks stand Dance Moms and Unsolved Mysteries?
