Halloween is the one holiday where people can actually get away with being someone they’re absolutely not. A lot of times, it’s pretty easy to find a good Halloween costume (especially with help from us). But, other times, we really want to go that extra mile of making everyone say, “wow.” We always want to leave an impression on our friends and family when we enter a room, especially on Halloween. If anyone is the queen of wanting to leave an impression, it’s Kim Kardashian. For years, Kim and her sister have been the definition of the word “iconic,” always trying to make a statement. This Halloween was absolutely no different for Kim and her family.
Kim informed her millions of Twitter followers that her theme for this year was music legends and icons in the music industry.
My Halloween theme this year is ICONS! Musical legends!!! Paying homage to some of my faves!

She did pull out some of our all-time favorite musicians and icons by dressing up as Sonny and Cher with Jonathan Cheban and Michael Jackson and Madonna with sister Kourtney Kardashian.

Fans were loving both of the looks, but, for her last look – Kim dressed up as the late singer Aaliyah. While the look was absolutely on point, Twitter had a lot to say about her decision to dress as a woman of color.

The tweets came pouring in calling it offensive and cultural appropriation.
