This Nail Salon Specializes In Using Actual Dead Bugs As Nail Art & It’s So Extra

Throughout the years, trends have come into our lives that make us say – what the actual f*ck? With social media and Pinterest, it’s pretty easy to share some of the weirdest, creepiest and unique trends in beauty and fashion because, well, everyone loves to see weird sh*t online – isn’t that why we’re all here anyway? I had thought I’ve seen it all when it comes to outrageous and ridiculous nail art online until I stumbled upon this nail salon that uses dead insects to decorate their client’s nails.

Deadly Nails, located in Melbourne, Australia, has swept the web and become one of the “most talked about nail salons in the world,” after they went viral for using dead insects as nail art. The nail tech. and artist, Nic Casati, allows her clients to bring the dead bugs with them into the salon and then, she uses them as decoration to create some pretty trippy designs.

The salon is eager to tell users online that no incests are harmed in the making or design of these looks and that clients are encouraged to bring only already dead bugs with them for the artwork. Either way – I’m not entirely excited about the idea to scoop up a dead bug and bring it with me to the nail salon, that’s pretty extra. What if they lay eggs in my bag? What if I accidentally drop it in my car? Who wants to touch dead bugs?

But, while I’m super grossed out by the whole “dead bugs” idea, some of these designs are pretty insane.

If you’re looking for a spooky and “dead” look for Halloween, why not try a dead insect nail design?
