Spoilers for Game of Thrones season 7 finale below!!
So uh… this is weird.
Remember that scene at the end of the Game of Thrones season 7 finale when the wall comes down and the army of the dead starts marching past it? Of course you do. You were probably watching with friends — sipping a cocktail and screaming at the TV — which is why you might not have noticed this.
Yeah. That appears to be the army of the dead forming the Stark sigil as they march past the wall. WHAT DOES IT MEAN?! Here’s the Stark sigil for comparison:
The formation was pointed out by Redditor sannybob, and before you start freaking out, it probably doesn’t mean anything. As one commenter pointed out; “That’s a very nice Easter Egg probably as an in-joke for the show creators/digital effects crew.”
A few other commenters said they couldn’t see the resemblance at all and should immediately get their eyes checked. The formation is a little more stretched out than the actual Stark flag, but there’s definitely something going on there.
In all likelihood it’s just a fun thing for the fans to catch and isn’t trying to secretly tell you something. But this is Game of Thrones. Nothing will ever stop us from examining every frame of the show looking for clues and hints to theorize and panic about. There’s no sense in fighting it. The hype train is unstoppable.
