With summer around the corner, we’re all here waiting to relive our childhood summers when everything was carefree and fun. From staying out until the sun goes down to bronzing our skin, there are some things in life that are just so nostalgic. Who can forget some of our favorite summer snacks? A user going by Lucy (@fetusleen) tweeted a picture of a stack of the frozen treats and asked what people call them and which flavor they think is best.
it's dead summer. your mom comes home from the store with THESE. what do u call these and what is the best color? pic.twitter.com/MqARWmrch8

The tweet went viral, with people online brawling over what the proper name for these icy treats are.
A bunch of people said “Otter Pops,” but…I’ve honestly never heard of that in my life.

Apparently, Otter Pops are a brand and each Otter Pop had a name and personality.

Apparently, they’re called Zooper Doopers in Australia and New Zealand.
20 Zooper Doopers almost look quite sad and lonely. It’s not summer if your freezer doesn’t look like this. pic.twitter.com/6yT8NFRckx

Jublies in the UK.

And someone else brought up what he thinks might be the Asian equivalents (SORT of).
Everyone's arguing about otter pops vs. ice pops but I have a question: did anyone else eat these special types of pops growing up, or was it just us Asians? This was my go-to summer treat: you'd cut off the tip or break it in half and suck out the flavor. What did we call these? pic.twitter.com/3vkHRDO6Kc

The list goes on! And other people thought they were called “popsicles” but they’re NOT—popsicles have sticks in them.
People call these something besides popsicles? https://t.co/WlUlTJ5yUh

Quite a few people referred to the cuts you’d get in your mouth trying to chew the plastic packages open.
Corners of my mouth already cut https://t.co/acO1qVajgI

And some people called them nothing at all.

And finally, I found one person who also called them icees.
A quick scan of the answers leads me to believe that blue was the flavor chosen as people’s favorites most often.
Flavor Ice. BLUE!
