When it comes to scary movies, there are many who believe they are an all-out junkie. I know a lot of people who love to watch movies that will scare the living crap out of them. Me? Not so much. I’m not the horror movie type. But, many people I’m friends with (including my own boyfriend) absolutely live for the moments where they’re so scared, they can barely sleep at night. It seems as though horror films have become pretty much “standard” lately–nothing is totally “night-mare creating” anymore. Instead, you get a bit spooked or shocked when things jump out at you, but nothing too traumatizing. Until Netflix introduced their new film “Veronica.”
The film is about three high school girls who use an Ouija board to summon their dead friend, Veronica, on the day of a solar eclipse–what a plotline. Apparently, the film just gets creepier and creepier as it goes on. The film was directed by horror genius Paco Plaza and was originally screened at the Toronto International Film Festival before appearing on Netflix.
Honestly, it’s gotten so bad, that many people online claim they haven’t even finished it because they’re too damn scared.
Started watching Veronica on Netflix (huge REC fan so interested in anything Paco Plaza is involved in) but the demon walking down the hallway scene freaked me out so much I had to turn it off… #SuchAWuss pic.twitter.com/4oCcjQUJST

Veronica on Netflix was based on a true story and if that doesn’t freak you out a little you may need Jesus.

Holy fuck. Veronica on Netflix may just be the scariest horror film I’ve ever seen.

Decided to watch that Veronica on Netflix and although it’s in Spanish with subtitles my heart hasn’t stopped racing since I got 5 minutes in. Do NOT watch it.
