Are you above average in the arts of laziness? Are you allergic to hard work? Well, then the travel company TUI wants to hire you! Why work when you can slack off? The company is currently looking to recruit some professional slackers to join their company. Now you may be wondering, what exactly would my job as a pro slack master entail? It takes a particular kind of person to land this sweet gig. We all love to be lazy and hang around, but now we’re living in a world where it’s not only encouraged, but it’s a way to make a living. What a time my friends, what a time.
If falling asleep at your desk is something you have to worry about you might want to look into a change of profession. Don’t sweat it; you can apply for a professional slacking gig right here. If you know, you’re top of the line when it comes to lacking production but are left wondering “what exactly do I need to be TUI’s best slacker”? They’re kind enough to give you a rundown. It’s a pretty unique type of worker they’re looking to join their team.
‘Not be at all able to think outside the box’, ‘feel extremely uncomfortable hearing words like “productivity” and “deadlines”‘ and ‘impressive ability to focus on your own relaxation regardless of external distractions’.
If lucky enough to get chosen your super relaxing job will start January 22 and run until February 4. The “Slackers” will be able to work one of two different shifts. Either 7 a.m to 1 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Just try and remember sleeping at this job is encouraged, so the hours don’t seem too rough. Oh, did I mention if you get the job you’re going to have to move to Stockholm? The program just happens to be a part of Tui’s Nordic arm? There’s nothing wrong with a little vacation, especially when you’re getting paid to be there. If you didn’t think this job could get any better, you were mistaken. Even the offices sound like they’re magical.
‘Your cosy nine square meter office, which you will be sharing with a like-minded colleague, is located in a charming building with the shortest possible distance to some pretty impressive public transport,’ apparently. ‘The interior is highly influenced by Mediterranean beaches and offers an impressive array of ergonomic working surfaces and phenomenal views in all directions.’
See you in Stockholm!
Well, I will undoubtedly be applying ASAP. Sweden seems like a fantastic place, and this sounds like the perfect job for me. They even encourage you to keep to yourself and not talk to other coworkers! I’m not sure guys, but I think I just officially found my calling. I have discovered what the universe put me here to do. Hopefully, I get chosen, and I can slack away with some of you in Stockholm in a few weeks. Until then I’ll go back to the reality of a dreary day job where I’m not even allowed to nap.
