We know first impressions are everything, right? Well, maybe that isn’t always the case, especially when it comes to love. There are times when you meet someone and absolutely hate them, but after getting to know them, your opinion completely changes. Have you ever asked your boyfriend, husband, partner what they really thought of you when you first met? You probably haven’t because you assumed that you made a really good first impression for them to be with you currently. That might not be the case. Yes, they are obviously with you now because they love you; but first impressions might not always be as they seem.
Many of us believe in love at first sight. We might think that when our significant other saw us, they were instantly attracted and that is why we are in the relationship today. How can you be so sure of that though? Well, you could ask the burning questions to your significant other like we asked these guys. Warning: Their responses might be more brutal than you expect.
1. Josh, 23
“We met at a bar and I thought she was a b*tch, she was way too proud to let me by her a drink. In that moment I really did not picture myself being with her.”
2. Arnold, 22
“She was wearing a red dress with a slit up the side to the bar. She looked like she belonged at a wedding. I could not stop staring at her for her looks but rather for what she was wearing and wondering what was she thinking when she left her place.”
3. Anthony, 21
“I really was not physically attracted to her at all when we first met. Body wise she had very small breasts and that was not something I was use to when dating girls. Her personality made up for it though. “
4. Joe, 24
“I honestly was so drunk the night that I met her that when she texted me the next morning I did not remember meeting her, or what she looked like. When we finally met again I realized my drunk self picked the best girls out of the crowd.”
5. Harry, 21
“I thought her NY accent was annoying when I first met her. I thought there was no way I would be able to listen to that all day long.”
