People Are Outraged After A Magazine Called Millie Bobby Brown One Of ‘TV’s Sexiest Stars’

Magazines love to make lists to entice their readers (websites too, hehe). Every year, entertainment magazines do their yearly “round ups” where they rate the best of…well, everything and turn it into a list stacked with our favorite stars. Housewives and old ladies waiting at hair salons can’t wait to read about it all. There’s “People’s Sexiest Men/Women Alive” and “Forbes 30 Under 30,” and dozens of others – like “Why TV Is Sexier Than Ever” in W Magazine.

This year for TV has been pretty amazing, seeing as streaming services like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime have come out with their own original series and they’ve made their way into our homes and the top of the charts. It’s no surprise then that 13-year-old Millie Bobby Brown of “Stranger Things” made the list, seeing as the teen who plays Eleven on the Sci-Fi show is extremely talented.

The article appeared all the way back in June of this year, but people are just now realizing that a magazine associated a 13-year-old girl with the word “sexy.” Let’s be honest, she is a bit young to be sexualized and objectified. However, it is the entertainment industry and people have done this for years. Maybe with Hollywood finally taking a stand for women, it’s time to end this kind of cycle.

People have been taking to Twitter to discuss their opinions on the situation.
