Millie Bobby Brown Is Making History As The Lead And Producer Of A Rad New Detective Film Series

You may recognize her for her portrayal of the Eggo-waffle-loving ~magical being~ on the Netflix hit Stranger Things. Or maybe you’ve seen pictures of her blown-up around the mall and on billboards now that she is the new face of Raf Simons’ Calvin Klein. Perhaps you’ve read her brave interview with Variety in which she recounts how she grew up with partial hearing loss.

Regardless of how you know Millie Bobby Brown, one thing is for sure: You’ll be hearing and seeing a lot more of her in the years to come. Deadline just revealed that the 13-year-old actor is going to be starring in and producing a new series of films based on the Enola Holmes Mysteries novels.

At just 13 years old, Brown became one of the youngest producers ever when she signed a deal with Legendary Entertainment to be a major part of the feature film adaptations. Nancy Springer’s novel series follows the detective adventures of Enola Holmes, the 14-year-old little sister of the famous Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes as she cracks missing persons cases and is doubted endlessly by her skeptical brothers.

Although it is not certain whether Brown is technically breaking any youngest-ever records just yet, the fact that she is the lead and a producer at just 13 years old is beyond impressive. She is certainly helping destroy age and gender barriers that have been the norm in Hollywood since its very inception;
