Zara Customers Are Finding Notes From Abused Workers Inside Clothes They Buy

If you’re in Istanbul and decide to pop into Zara for some retail therapy you might find yourself surprised. Shoppers continue to find their clothes have strange tags attached to them. The tags are written by disgruntled Turkish employees claiming to have never been paid for making the clothes. This protest stems from angry workers from the outsourced companies hired by big retail businesses. Zara, among others big named businesses, is completely shafting their employees of their hard earned pay.

The workers who made the clothes came up with the clever way to inform the consumer about their situation. It also does a great job drawing attention to the company refusing to pay them. Pretty genius move honestly. With all the issues with people telling other people how to protest against injustices they face these days. I think this is one way we can all agree to protest that is clever and effective.

The slick protesters are trying to bring light to a situation that not everyone knows about. I think we can all agree it’s just wrong. Imagine working your ass off cranking out clothes all day and then not getting paid for it. No thank you. I can’t imagine how strong their callus game is. We all hate to see a big company is screwing over the little guy it just isn’t right. The protester’s message read

I made this item you are going to buy, but I didn’t get paid for it.

With that being said, it’s obvious Zara is in the wrong and these people need to get paid ASAP! I can’t be feeling bad every time I walk out of there with a new outfit. Not to mention it’s just super messed up to stiff hard working people. Especially, when I’ve personally spent enough to pay at least one persons salary. Not cool Zara! figure it out! for the hardworking peoples sake.
