Taylor Swift is back with some music that sounds more like the good old Taylor Swift again. After announcing the debut of her new album “Reputation,” she dropped two singles that sounded like a completely different person. Not for nothing, I wasn’t too into the songs that were trying to be someone Tay Tay’s just not. While all artists usually reach out to try new things with their music, I personally don’t feel as though it was her best work. But, Taylor dropped a new single this week, “Call It What You Want,” and it was nice to hear a bit of the old Taylor coming back into her music. Sure, she had a rough few years in the spotlight and needed to let some steam off – but this, this is what I was waiting for.
While Taylor was throwing shade at all her enemies in the previous two singles, “Call It What You Want” is back to being a lovefest, with lyrics spewing adorable, mushy-gushy love. Fans think that the song is about her new rumored boyfriend, Joe Alwyn. While the song is a bit like the old Taylor, the title is a savage way to say – f*ck what you call any of my relationships, call it whatever you want, it’s my life. Fans all over Twitter were of course, happy to hear a new single – but, some fans had mixed reviews over the song.
Some fans were excited to hear the song and happy to hear their girl Taylor so happy.
You can literally hear Taylor Swift blushing like a smitten kitten as she sings #CallItWhatYouWant to the love of her life. She’s happy. ?❤️

When you relaize the way Taylor’s sings “Yeeeess” in Call It What You Want is the exact way she sings it in Love Story.

For everyone who’s complaining about the new Taylor Swift – I mean, she did tell you the old her is dead…so, can you really be salty about it? I’d think not.
