Besides GOP Senate nominee Roy Moore having dated a 14-year-old when he was in his 30s, Taylor Swift’s long awaited sixth album Reputation has been the talk of the Internet town today.
It is an album about love, revenge, and betrayal, and opinions are polarized. Many tweets and publications sought to break down, track by track, who exactly Swift refers to in her lyrics. Calvin Harris, Kim and Kanye, Tom Hiddleston, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, and current boyfriend Joe Alwyn are some of the supposed targets of her songs. Others called Taylor our for being kind of out of touch; In a 2017 world where many women are waging a war on sexual assault and the Trump administration, Swift releases an album that is wholly self-serving, bordering on egomaniacal.
