One of my favorite hobbies is returning to the sounds of my youth. As a ’90s baby, I got to grow up listening to the jams of the late ’90s and early 2000s, which is arguably the best time in pop music, ever. (Not that I’m biased or anything). You’ve sung these songs at the top of your lungs, you cried with them after your first heartbreak, you would drown out your family road-trips with them from your iPod shuffle. These songs were here for you. They had your back when puberty was tormenting you and all your friends. ‘90s/’00s babies, I have one more thing to say to you:
This is your music.
What are you waiting for? Invite everyone you know and love and scream these lyrics at the tops of your lungs as if it was still 2002.
1. Cascada – Every Time We Touch
Something about this song will NEVER get old.
2. ATC – All Around The World
Try walking around today without going “la la la la la” in your head. I dare you.
3. Sixpence None The Richer – Kiss Me
4. The Calling – Wherever You Will Go
I may not have ever heard another song by this band but heck, this is a good one.
5. Hoobastank – The Reason
I related to this song on such a heard level.
