After realizing they were living a stoners dream and an insane amount of marijuana was magically delivered to their home, however, they immediately called Orlando police. To each their own people, whose to say what one would do in a situation like that. Imagine thinking you were set up? Maybe it’s a sting operation? Not sure if that is a real thing but I’ve heard it on TV before. Just anxiety through the roof, I would probably make the same call for my own personal sanity. That and I have no known affiliations to any cartels at the moment.
After contacting Amazon and bringing up the fact that their safety was in danger. A package that expensive filled with illegal drugs isn’t something you want in your home. Most of all, you don’t know who sent it and they now have your address. Amazon was less than accommodating after making a pretty high-level mistake (see what I did there?). After exchanging emails with Amazon for more than a month, they finally received a $150 gift card along with the message:
I am unable to do anything else at this time.
The couple was not happy and rightfully so, they expected an explanation from Amazon about how exactly they ended up with this package. Finally, due to them constantly reaching out to the company they finally received an answer.
There was no concern for a customer’s safety. I mean, this could have turned into a worst-case scenario.
First of all, how frequently are drugs getting shipped through America? I feel I’ve been left in the dark. These stories seem to pop up pretty frequently. Not too long ago a lady just wanted a new yoga matt and she ended up getting a shipment of over a half a million dollars worth of Oxycodone.
Now I’m sure a lot of you use Amazon quite frequently. All I can do now is wait, Seems like I’m just waiting for my time, waiting for the opportunity to make the right decision. When I am called upon to receive a hefty amount of weed through Amazon I hope I alert the authorities. I need to know though people, am I still doing my civic duty if the police find the package a little lighter than when it was delivered? You were thinking the same thing! Therefore, do not judge me, y’all.
