Katy Perry has been on one lately. The pop diva has turned over a whole new leaf and a lot of people are left questioning – WTF is going on with her?
She’s cut off all her hair, changed her music style and performances and said a lot of weird comments in interviews. But, one thing that hadn’t changed over the last few years was her beef with country-pop diva Taylor Swift.
While no one really knows where the drama originated, we know they’ve hated each other for years. Subliminal lyrics and music videos have bene the igniting forces behind their hatred and fueled fan-bases drama all over social media for so long – we almost forgot what it was like to live in a Katy/Taylor friendly era.
Until now – I guess.
Katy Perry officially issued a formal interview to Taylor Swift in a recent interview with The Thrive Global Podcast saying:
“I am ready to let it go. I forgive her and I’m sorry for anything I ever did, and I hope the same from her. I think it’s actually like, I think it’s time. There are bigger fish to fry, and there are real problems in the world. You know what I’m saying?”
Damn girl – way to be the bigger person.
She continued to share the L-O-V-E saying:
“I love her, and I want the best for her. And I think she’s a fantastic songwriter, and I think that if we, both her and I, can be representatives of strong women that come together despite their differences, I think the whole world is going to go like, ‘Yeah, well we can do this.’ I don’t know. Maybe I don’t agree with everything she does and she doesn’t agree with everything I do, but I just really, truly want to come together in a place of love and forgiveness and understanding and compassion.”
That’s pretty big of you, Katy. Actually, I’m impressed.
