America’s Got Talent Contestant Gets Golden Buzzer & Makes Entire Internet Cry

Seriously, I’m crying.

Reality TV competition shows can get a bit repetitive and boring at times. While there are so many of the same show on TV (singing competitions, dancing competitions, etc) it seems as though people are slowly becoming sick and tired of watching the same old song and dance.

But, there are moments within these TV series that change our lives – and other people’s – forever. On America’s Got Talent, some contestants are different, unique and definitely move us to tears.

Last night on America’s Got Talent, one contestant by the name of Mandy Harvey was so inspiring that I actually cried my eyes out while watching her audition on stage.

Mandy Harvey is an incredible singer – much like others who appear on the show. However, she is a bit different than the usual contestant. Mandy lost her hearing completely when she was 18-years-old to an illness that caused her nerves to deteriorate. Due to this, she is now completely deaf.

Before Mandy got sick, she gave her life to singing. Most people would have fallen victim to their illness and given up on their dream. But, Mandy continued to sing, and she even came out to audition for the TV show.

The judges were so impressed – they let her through to the finals immediately with the “golden buzzer.”

Everyone was so moved that people took to Twitter to display their admiration for Mandy – even some celebs.
