Starbucks Is Apparently Being Sued Over The Unicorn Frappuccino

Just when you thought it was gone…

Everyone on the Internet has collectively decided they are sick and tired of the Unicorn Frappuccino. Baristas were angry that they had to make these horrible drinks, customers were disappointed that they spent $7 on a drink that tasted so bad and the entire World Wide Web decided they were tired of hearing anyone talk about it anymore.

But, to save you all some trouble and give you your daily dose of karma – Starbucks is allegedly being sued over the magical drink by a smaller coffee company.

TMZ reported this week that a Brooklyn based coffee shop called “The End,” is trying to file a lawsuit against Starbucks for “stealing their idea after the shop created the Unicorn Latte. The owners of the coffee shop claim their signature drink contains the same ingredients and colors as the Unicorn Frappuccino, but they started selling their drink back in 2016 – Starbucks was a little late to the game.

But, have no fear my Starbucks loving friends – a rep from the coffee chain claims the lawsuit has no merit and that the company came up with the Unicorn Frappuccino idea after unicorns took over social media everywhere. I mean, it’s pretty true – every girl on Tumblr has reposted seven unicorns in their lifetime. Check the archives.

However, the owners of The End claim they don’t buy Starbucks’ excuses and want them to pay up for stealing their idea – and they want a public apology, too.

I guess they’ll see their money and kind words when Unicorns actually exist.
