5. He isn’t an embarrassment around your parents.
Maybe your dude is a parent himself! Maybe not. Either way, he talks to your folks like the equals they are. Rather than avoiding them or giving one word replies, the mature man will be able to win over any set of parents with his intelligence and charm.
4. He isn’t terrified of the future.
Or of commitment, for that matter. Most older guys will be upfront about their expectations and desires. He’ll let you know how he sees his life panning out and whether or not it includes you.
3. He spends his time better.
Older men aren’t as likely to party and rage with their friends multiple times a week. They (ideally) have hobbies that have nothing to do with drinking, and can expose you to all sorts of fun new adventures and hobbies you may never have tried otherwise.
2. He’s more patient.
Patience is a virtue often learned with the passing of time. An older man has had to wait for success more often and for longer periods than a younger man, which means he is familiar with delayed gratification — or with a lack of gratification where he expected some.

While this can sometimes be a difficult factor to contend with, in the long run, it’s actually quite positive. There are no surprises with a man who stands by his convictions and beliefs; you know what you are getting. Furthermore, couples often drift apart because one party changes — if you date an older man, at least you can be sure it won’t be him.
