Every year, the most popular online shopping website Amazon has a special holiday where everything is on sale and discounted.
Think of it as Amazon’s personal “Black Friday,”–but, it’s called “Amazon Prime Day,” and it’s the company’s most lucrative day of the year. This year, the company announced that Amazon Prime Day will begin at 3 p.m. on Monday, July 16th and will run until Tuesday, July 17th–which gives you a day and a half of deals. It’s six more hours of shopping deals than the company had last year.
Shoppers online will have to have an Amazon Prime membership in order to access the deals on their site. But, the company has promised huge savings on big brands and names such as their Amazon home devices–Alexa and Echo–and Amazon FireTV, and tablets. The website is also already rolling out deals during the “countdown to Prime Day,” which you can see here.
Additionally, since Amazon acquired Whole Foods, they’ve decided to roll out a Prime Day with deals at Whole Foods Market shops across the United States. To do this, Prime members would have to download the Whole Foods Market app and scan the Prime Code to receive discounts at Whole Foods Market shops.
The best way to stay on top of the deals the website is offering, download the Amazon app and turn your notifications on so you can get updates of new deals dropping in real time. You can also go to the section “Today’s Deals” in the app and look at upcoming discounts and sales 24 hours before they go live on the website. The app also gives you an option to “watch” a deal.
Happy shopping!
