More From The Daily Dot:
The details and results of the study are disclosed in a story produced by the Daily Dot, an internet news site with a lot of experience in NSFW topics. All subjects of the study were taken to a private room and told to watch an eight-minute VR porn video. The subjects brain waves were measured by an electroencephalogram (EGG). The viewers were also instructed not to masturbate. The subjects also watched the same video in regular 2D.
In the study, the subjects’ cognitive load, arousal, and motivation were measured throughout the course of the porn scenes. As different acts take place, inferences can be made about their effects on cognitive function.
One of the most interesting findings in the article is that choking turns us off. That prototypical “deep throat” gave made most male subjects recoil a bit.
