Levy shared that the storyline for season 3 is all but finished. Now they’re just adding finishing touches to the script. Fans of ‘Stranger Things’ are well aware the show doesn’t necessarily have long seasons. The first season only ran eight episodes while the second season gave us 9 and it seems it’ll be the same case in the upcoming season. Levy also shared that they never have a certain amount of episodes they aim to hit, but they like to focus on making sure each episode is exciting and that the season flows well. He also spilled the beans on a few of the characters and how they develop over the next season.
A dynamic duo.
Stranger Things’ team has a good idea about the things to come for our favorite Hawkins residents. Levy shared that Will Byers will get a break from being the focus of the evil happening to the gang. It’s been shared that Will won’t be the focal point of season 3’s adventures. This opens the door for other characters to enjoy the spotlight. The dynamic duo of Dustin Henderson and Steve Harrington stole the show in season 2. Their friendship will continue to evolve in season 3. The plan is to put them in more of the spotlight and watch their friendship blossom into something along the lines of brothers and we’re loving it!
Forces of evil that are new?
As excited as we are for season 3 to kick off it looks like we’ll have to wait quite awhile until we see our favorite gang. Shawn Levy said the production team is aiming for the end of 2018 or the beginning of 2019 to premiere the new season. Another exciting part of Levy’s interview is when he spoke about which monsters the gang will face in season 3. All levy shared with us was they’ll be “dealing with forces of evil that are new.” Not sure what that means but we’re certainly excited! It’s bittersweet seeing as how the Duffer brothers said they’re aiming for four seasons total. This means you better enjoy every second of ‘Stranger Things’ you can. This sadly means after season 3 there are likely only 8 or 9 episodes left!
