People replied to the Twitter thread with some horror–others were not too surprised, as they feel as though they had been sold used products from Ulta over the years.
That is absolutely disgusting. If you seriously contacted corporate and they gave you a run around answer, you need to talk to someone higher up. I have worked at Ulta for 3 years and my store/any other store I’ve worked at has NEVER done that.

I absolutely believe this…I've purchased a shampoo from Ulta before, opened it once home and could tell it was used. The top opening was sticky and it wasn't full. Went back in to exchange and they tried to argue me on it. Needless to say I left with a new shampoo.

Accidentally bought a used liquid lipstick from an Ulta a while back, and they wouldn't even let me return it a day later. Haven't shopped there since. Go figure ¯_(ツ)_/¯

It just goes to show you–be careful when buying anything you’re putting on your face (check that ish before you leave the store, girl).
