We all know kids say the darndest things, but sometimes they also say some remarkably enlightened things. When talking to children, it’s always interesting to see how their little sponge of a brain is working. Sometimes they share ideas with you that will leave you baffled. In this instance, this first grader delivered an extremely woke answer to a riddle his teacher presented on the whiteboard. Now I know this riddle is meant for 1st graders, but before I share the incredible response, I figured I’d give you a crack at this brain buster.
If you chose the letter ‘E’ then congratulations! You are a master of enigmas and potentially smarter than a first grader.
Not smarter than all the first graders though, Bret Turner, a teacher at the Head-Royce school in the San Francisco Bay Area was a bit shocked when the first answer he received was ‘death.’ I mean… I don’t know if that can technically be wrong? Either way, it shows just how enlightened some children can be. This answer sounds like something you’d expect to hear from someone on too much acid at a music festival or maybe a super dark, grungy poet? Certainly not a little innocent first grader.
