8 Things You Need To Know About The New Season Of ‘The Bachelor’

5. Emily has given her him her blessing.

Now married with four children, Emily had nothing but good things to say about her ex becoming The Bachelor. In an exclusive statement to People, she gushed,“I have been wanting Arie to be the Bachelor since my season ended forever ago, and I know he’s going to be great! He’s so much fun to be around and comes from the nicest family, so the girls on his season really lucked out with him! Arie deserves nothing but the best, and I hope everything goes wonderfully for him!”

6. He’s hooked up with Courtney Robertson.

Yes, it’s true! The Bachelor’s golden boy and biggest vileness were totally a thing after she ended her engagement to then-fiancé Ben Flajnik (who then dated Kris Jenner). In her book, I Didn’t Come Here To Make Friends, Courtney divulged that Arie was the best sex she ever had.  More details (positions) please?!

7. His younger brother is single.

Those who won’t get the chance to date The Bachelor might get the next best thing, his younger brother! Arie has two 24-year-old twin brothers as well as a younger sister. Alec, one of the twins, recently got married, but Luca seems to be up for grabs. Maybe like racing, appearing on the franchise will run in the family!

8. His ex-girlfriend may be going on the show.

A few of Arie’s exes have been voicing their opinions when he was revealed to be the next Bachelor.  His most recent girlfriend, Sydney Stempfley, 26, said she was “blindsided” by the announcement. The beautiful blonde’s Instagram hosts multiple pictures of the former couple hiking, on trips and of course, at the race track. She revealed he ended things abruptly after a small argument, and she then applied to be a contestant on the next season of The Bachelor, before she knew he was the lead. A source close to Sydney told US Weekly, that she still wants to go on the show.

The 22nd Season of The Bachelor premieres Monday, January 1st at 8|7c on ABC.
