20 New Year Resolutions To Make So Your 2018 Isn’t Absolute Trash

It’s the end of the year and we are all about to enter into 2018 so what does that mean? Hopefully, some New Year’s resolutions that you will stick to and keep. Setting goals for ourselves each year is a great step to making our lives better. A fresh start gives us hope and that we can accomplish these goals and not just throw them in the trash. Many of us will slip up or not continue with these plans, but, just think positive and how great you will feel when you actually complete them. Here are 20 New Year’s resolutions that are actually worth making.

1. Eat something green with every meal.

Starting the day off with something green in your meals will be great for your overall health. There are plenty of choices to choose from. You could blend in and add greens to a fruit smoothie. If you don’t have time to make a healthy smoothie in the morning, add some sort of green to your lunch or dinner.

2. Start every day off with a good stretch/exercise.

Take 20 minutes to yourself and get in a great stretch as soon as you wake up. Not only does it feel good to stretch out your body after sleeping all night but this will help relieve stress and stiff muscles and also help with balance issues if you have any. You can even get a quick little workout in to boost your metabolism and get your blood flowing.

3. Drink more water.

Drinking water is something you need to do everyday no matter what. It shouldn’t just be a New Years Resolution. If you hate plain ol’ water, add some fruit to it or flavor mixer to make it taste better. They sell fruit infused water bottles so you are able to add in extra fruit to make it taste delicious. 4. Use refillable cups and mugs.

Save the trees and invest in a great coffee mug and traveler for you to keep reusing. It is better for your wallet and environment. One less disposable coffee cup in a landfill equals less material placed into a landfill.

5. Start meditating.

All you need is a few minutes out of your day to do this. Just breathe and relax and let all that stress that might be built up inside of you out and clear your mind of all your thoughts and worries. By meditating each day, this will improve your overall mood by creating a happier and healthier lifestyle.
