We all know what it’s like to lose something we value. Whether it’s something we’ve lost as a kid or something we’ve misplaced as an adult, it’s safe to say that no one likes the feeling of losing things. When you’re a child, losing something seems like the end of the world. Let’s face it, we don’t have a ton of perspective on things when we’re kids. When you lose something like your teddy bear or your blankie – it’s catastrophic. One 4-year-old girl learned this the hard way.
Summer was traveling through the Edinburgh airport on her way home to Orkney, Scotland when she misplaced her teddy bear. As a 4-year-old, we love our stuffed animals more than life itself, especially our teddy bears. When she realized she misplaced it, I’m sure she cried and cried for days. Her parents had to, of course, find a way to get her bear back. Her mother, Donna, decided to contact the airport’s lost and found first. And, thanks to the power of social media, she wrote on a few Orkney-based social media groups to see if anyone can help. It seems like a lot of hard work for a teddy bear, but it shows how awesome of a mom Donna is to try and find it rather than just “replace it with a new one.”
By some form of miracle, Kristy, a cabin crew member at Logan Air, saw one of Donna’s posts on social media. She contacted some of her friends that work for the airline in Edinburgh. Apparently, someone was kind enough to put the teddy bear in the lost and found of Edinburg’s airport. And, the airline company found the best way to reunite Summer with her bear.
