During an awards show, the video cameras are always our best friends. While we can’t see everyone in the audience, we can always count on the videographers filming the show for live TV to catch some suspicious activity and facial expressions from everyone in the crowd. Remember when Chrissy Teigen at The Golden Globes became everyone’s favorite meme out of this?
This time, during the American Music Awards, cameras caught singer P!nk making an awkward-ish face during Christina Aguilera’s performance on stage. Of course, Twitter came after P!nk, as the two have had some beef in the past.
The two started out as just bombshells in the industry when they both landed gigs to sing together on the song “Lady Marmalade” for the film “Moulin Rouge!” alongside Lil’ Kim and Mya. Apparently, P!nk was f*cking furious when the director decided to give Christina the “high note” in the song. In an old segment on VH1’s “Behind the Music,” P!nk explained:
Ron Fair walked in. He didn’t say hi to any of us and said, ‘What’s the high part? What’s the most singing part? Christina’s going to take that part.’ And I stood up, and I said ‘Hi. How are you? So nice of you to introduce yourself. I’m P!nk. She will not be taking that part. I think that’s what the fucking meeting’s about.
Later in their careers, P!nk was angry that her producer Linda Perry decided to work with Christina on one of her albums, as well. Rumor has it that Perry wrote “Beautiful,” one of Christina’s hit songs, and P!nk originally wanted it for her album, but, Perry would only give it to Christina. Obviously, that would leave anyone feeling salty.
In 2011, after Christina Aguilera and her boyfriend were arrested, for public intoxication, P!nk tweeted some harsh words about her own reputation back in the day.

Mic. Drop. It’s no surprise everyone was jumping on top of this story, seeing as there was a bunch of history to this relationship. As it turns out though, the two are actually friends again. In 2015, P!nk appeared on “The Voice” as a guest coach alongside Christina – which could make for an awkward experience – but after, P!nk admitted the two are friends.
While they claim to be friends, during Sunday’s AMA’s, cameras were quick to catch P!nk’s face during Aguilera’s performance and it wasn’t all smiles and happiness.
