Sometimes a blackhead, left unattended to fester and grow (is that how they work? I actually have no idea) will grow to monstrous proportions, resembling a big black rubber bathtub plug embedded in the skin. For reasons unknown/I’m too lazy to Google, this is called a ‘Dilated pore of Winer’, and is essentially a huge open blackhead in which dead skin cells get trapped and open it even more until it takes over your entire body and you are a walking blackhead. It’s gnarly, but it’s Dr. Pimple Popper’s speciality and that’s why you and I are both here. Because we are nasty.
This particular Weiner Pore (haha, sorry, ‘pore of WINER’) is exceptional because it’s particularly enormous (“a goldmine”) and a perfect shade of ombré, if dead skin cell color tones are your thing. Enjoy:
Oh, also, apparently “once the content of the dilated pore is expressed, this whole process of the dilated pore filling once again with keratin is common.” In other words this is a hellish condition that will keep coming back for eternity. Life is cool.
