4. The worst of it is the waiting.
>Oh my gosh, no matter how many times people told me it would be over before you know it, the anxiety I experienced the days and minutes leading up to the procedure were the worst. I was hyping the pain and the negative possibilities up in my head so much that I was almost torturing myself with focusing on feelings I haven’t even had yet.
5. Don’t drive yourself.
You’re going to be SO crampy in the following minutes/hours after the procedure, not to mention physically exhausted from the stress you just put yourself through. Just relax and have your friend/boyfriend drive you so you can just relax and take it easy. You don’t want any sharp pains coming over you while behind the wheel, god forbid something goes wrong.
6. Don’t wear good underwear.
Odds are you’ll bleed a tiny bit soon after insertion. Spotting is totally normal and expected in the hours and days after your appointment. Don’t be like me and ruin your favorites because you just didn’t know. Now you know, ladies.
