Kanye West included the song on his iTunes Celebrity Playlist. He said: “This must be the white song that all black people like, you know every year there’s a song that black people like and this is that. I love the string arrangements.”
This song is actually about losing someone you love – so it’s supposed to be a really sad song.
32. “Where Is The Love” – The Black Eyed Peas
The hit song was actually inspired by 9/11 and other situations the members of The Black Eyed Peas felt it was necessary to talk about.
There was also a remake of the music video years after that features cameos from several additional stars including Kendall Jenner, Quincy Jones, Vanessa Hudgens and Wiz Khalifa. Dallas Police Chief David O’Brown and Sandra Sterling, the aunt who raised the late Alton Sterling, also make appearances.
33. “Hips Don’t Lie” – Shakira
The costumes and characters in the video were inspired by the Barranquilla Carnival, a major celebration in Colombia – where Shakira is originally from. AOWW.
