Maybe not the dumbest I’ve ever heard, but I heard it just a few hours ago. My friend lost his cell on a float trip (while on the river). We tracked it to a camp site a mile away using find my iPhone. Some nice campers told us they turned it into the girl working the office the day before. The owners of the camp site said she didn’t turn it in to lost and found, that they wouldn’t call her to ask, and that the campers (their guests) must be liars. I asked if there was a chance the girl was lying or stole it.
The guy looked me right in the face and said “what would a 17 year old girl do with an iPhone?”
I almost slapped him.
