Wedding Crashers is easily one of the best movies to date when it comes to weddings and romance. But, when you think of your own wedding – you’re probably not to keen on the idea that strangers would come crash your party (unless of course, they are Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, to which I would say – shots?)
Planning a wedding can be incredibly tedious and nerve-wracking. You have to figure out your dress/dresses, bridesmaids’ dresses, seating family members next to each other who secretly despise each other and – should we have a top-shelf open bar or low-level crap?
Thinking about someone crashing your wedding falls probably low, low, low down on your list of worries.
But, one couple faced the reality of wedding crashers at their own, Winnipeg wedding this past week – but, they weren’t angry about these crashers – and, to be honest we wouldn’t be either. Kirsten and Kayleigh Jennings met several years ago in the Cayman Islands and have been in love ever since.
The couple tied the knot this past Saturday in Canada and – when they found out another couple wanted to come in to the restaurant where they held their reception for a drink – they were excited to say, “definitely.” Kristen Stewart is not only a Twilight super-star, but she’s also a queer icon and activist, alongside her girlfriend Stella Maxwell.
The newlyweds told BuzzFeed Canada:
“We were drinking and dancing and having a great time and we got word that Kristen Stewart and her girlfriend Stella Maxwell were in town. The people who were hosting the party for us came up and asked if it was OK if they came in and had a few drinks. We said, ‘Yea, of course!'”
“They kind of blended in seamlessly. It was a really, really, really fun night.”
Can you imagine Kristen Steward crashing your wedding? Literally nothing more epic than that.
