Rihanna has given us many iconic bops over the years, but she’s lately been making her mark in fashion and beauty with her Savage X Fenty lines. Rihanna’s designs are very focused on inclusivity, especially her lingerie. She wants women of all sizes to be able to feel sexy and seen in her clothes. A recent show at the Brooklyn Navy Yard last Wednesday featured her Fall/Winter 2018 lingerie collection, according to Buzzfeed, and amongst the models were two pregnant women.
The pregnant models were Slick Woods and Janina Thompson. Woods wore a look that’s not yet available on the site, a mesh one piece with cutouts that beautifully displayed her belly. Thompson wore Savage X Fenty’s “dramatic low v” Geo Mesh Teddy. They both look absolutely stunning. Pregnancy is very in this season:
Then, it was reported that Woods went into labor backstage and had to be taken to a local hospital. The next morning she posted to Instagram that indeed, her baby had been born:

This is honestly very inspirational. If you can walk a runway in heels, pasties and in labor, you can do anything. I am woman, hear me roar! The father of the baby is also a model, named Adonis Bosso. He posted to Instagram as well, sharing a photo of himself with the word, “Fatherhood.”
One thing’s for sure, this child is going to be genetically blessed in the looks department. According to Elle, they named the baby Saphir, because his birthstone is a sapphire. Woods and Bosso live on opposite coasts, and until her relationship with Bosso was revealed, she was not known to date men. In fact, she didn’t even know she was pregnant until five months into it—she’s been ill for months and doctors never checked. As a younger woman, she’d been told she was infertile.
“I was really, really, really sick in London, but thought it was because of travel, so a doctor gave me pills for flu. Went to Paris: more pills for flu. And then I went to LA, and they tried a sonogram, and I saw my baby’s face and heard his heartbeat,” she explained. “Tears of joy.”
