ICYMI, Kanye West completely flipped the world upside down yesterday after going on an endless Twitter rampage about everything from Tim Cook to Cardi B, and Donald Trump.
West talked about his “love” for the President, how they are “brothers” and also spoke out about how the “mob” cannot change the fact that he loves Trump.
You don't have to agree with trump but the mob can't make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don't agree with everything anyone does. That's what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.

If your friend jumps off the bridge you don't have to do the same. Ye being Ye is a fight for you to be you. For people In my life the idea of Trump is pretty much a 50 50 split but I don't tell a Hillary supporter not to support Hillary
I love Hillary too.— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) April 25, 2018
He followed up with a photo of a “Make America Great Again” hat signed by Trump, and a photo of himself wearing it.
my MAGA hat is signed ?????????????????????????????? pic.twitter.com/DrDHJybS8V

After the tweets went viral online, many began questioning Kanye’s mental health–as the rapper had publicly suffered from a mental breakdown at the tail-end of his Saint Pablo tour. West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, took to her own Twitter to defend her husband–calling out everyone who was saying he was “mentally ill.”
To the media trying to demonize my husband let me just say this… your commentary on Kanye being erratic & his tweets being disturbing is actually scary. So quick to label him as having mental health issues for just being himself when he has always been expressive is not fair
— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) April 25, 2018
Yesterday it was announced that Kanye had parted ways with some business people and media outlets made this about Kanye’s mental health. Rather than just a simple business decision. So I’m glad he tweeted about the state of his company and all of the exciting things happening
— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) April 25, 2018
He’s a free thinker, is that not allowed in America? Because some of his ideas differ from yours you have to throw in the mental health card? That’s just not fair. He’s actually out of the sunken place when he’s being himself which is very expressive
— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) April 25, 2018
Now when he spoke out about Trump… Most people (including myself) have very different feelings & opinions about this. But this is HIS opinion. I believe in people being able to have their own opinions, even if really different from mine
He never said he agrees with his politics— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) April 25, 2018
Kanye will never run in the race of popular opinion and we know that and that’s why I love him and respect him and in a few years when someone else says the same exact thing but they aren’t labeled the way he is and you will all praise them! Kanye is years ahead of his time

While standing by your husband and defending him is very sweet, many fans and followers on Twitter were pretty disturbed by the way in which Kim described people who have mental health issues. Using the word “demonize” alongside “mental health issues” is pretty telling–insinuating that those with mental health issues are “bad people,” and having mental health issues is wrong.
maybe just me, but I’m gonna say equating “demonizing” with “labeling someone as having mental health issues” is not helpful pic.twitter.com/w6IsUJjhO1

What if he really has mental health issues? What's wrong with that…I mean he has been treated for it before ?♂️
— Josh Childs (@JCProBarber) April 25, 2018
The fact that Kim said the media tried to demonize her husband then said the media made it about his mental health really shows how she views mental illnesses. But okay.

and it s horrible to ppl have mental issues.
i have depression, anxiety, agoraphobia.
and i m not a person they have to fear. i m not « crazy », i m not dangereous.
i m just me.
and ppl shouldn t demonize mental health.— sestra ludivine (@LadyChips) April 25, 2018
And what's wrong with having mental health issues? You make sound like it's some disease.
— Noel Lawlor (@bunaghara) April 25, 2018
…but what if he does have mental health issues, Kim?!? I think we all do on some level, and there’s nothing wrong with, or to be ashamed about that. #PSA ?
— Ms.SpicyTwitChick (@MekaKimmerstein) April 25, 2018
And wait, @KimKardashian ?!?? what’s wrong with someone having mental health issues? Mental health is a huge #issue, you are rich therefor immune? NO! So what if @kanyewest IS mentally ill?? YOU are so quick to judge! Dang… YOU #scary!
— Brianne H. (@hozrnbz22) April 26, 2018
Uh but there’s nothing wrong with having mental health issues
— sex (@DawgsOnToppp) April 26, 2018
And if he DOES have mental health issues what’s so wrong about it? It’s not demonizing to have a mental health problem bih
— ㄣ⃒ Sol ☀️ㄣ⃒ (@YinYangVibe) April 26, 2018
