Celebrities And Artists Are Unfollowing Kanye West On Twitter After His Pro-Trump Rampage

Kanye West is having an all-out field day with his Twitter Fingers today, folks. Over the last week, the rapper and producer has come back to Twitter and social media in a huge way–to show his love and support for President Donald Trump.

Any true fan of Kanye West knows that the Chicago rapper has always been “for the people” and for the culture. Of course, after his tweets, people were disappointed that the same rapper who claimed “George Bush hates black people” after Hurricane Katrina is the same rapper who’s showing love to Donald Trump.

It all started with West claiming he was feeling the way that many conservatives think–including one woman who claims those who support “Black Lives Matter” are just “whining about slavery.” New York City radio host Ebro Darden from HOT97 called him out–saying he’s flipped to the other side. The two spoke on the radio about a phone call he had with West–in which he admitted openly that he “loves Donald Trump.”

After the interview went viral and people realized Kanye West–the same rapper who said “George Bush hates black people”–is supporting a president who supports racism and white nationalists, as well as the KKK, they weren’t really happy. A lot of fans began speaking out about not buying his albums this summer and boycotting his music. Kanye decided to respond on Twitter with a pretty strong statement saying that he loves Trump, not because he agrees with everything he does, but because he thinks we all have the right to have “independent thoughts.”

He continued by saying that we can’t all agree with each other just to agree, but he won’t tell someone who to support and who to hate.

Bottom line, he’s trying to tell everyone to support their own thoughts and not follow the crowd. He wants people to become “de-programmed” and stop flocking to the hottest, most popular school of thought. Kanye is pushing an agenda where everyone feels comfortable and free to think their own thoughts without being afraid to be judged.

But, Kim Kardashian made sure to put her husband in his place.

Kanye also went on to tweet a photo of his “Make America Great Again” hat signed by the President.

Donald Trump was a big fan of Kanye’s tweets–shouting him out twice on Twitter.

Donald Trump Jr. also retweeted all of Kanye’s tweets about his father, and, shared Kim Kardashian’s response to fan’s outbursts at her husband–saying #ImWithHer.

Ivanka Trump also retweeted Kanye, saying #truth.

Now, celebrities and other artists are completely separating themselves from West–as many began to unfollow Kanye on Twitter completely. Among them are (so far):

Ariana Grande
Harry Styles
Jaden Smith
Janelle Monáe
Justin Bieber
Katy Perry
Kendrick Lamar
Lana del Rey
Nicki Minaj
The Weekend
Troye Sivan
Zayn Malik

As of this week, over 9 million Twitter users unfollowed Kanye West on Twitter due to his rants and pro-Trump views.
