If you’re a Game of Thrones fan, you probably took the recent news about Season 8 pretty hard. A few weeks ago, HBO confirmed that there would be no new episodes of Game of Thrones in 2018–at all. As someone who watches GoT herself, I was devastated to learn that this new year would not be bringing me any incestual closure and, I don’t get to see any dragons. Seriously–huge letdown. So, that means we all have to wait until 2019 to see how the best show to ever grace our television screen will end.
It's official: @GameOfThrones will return for its six-episode, eighth and final season in 2019.

The final season of Game of Thrones will only house six episodes, which seems short, but the showrunners have promised fans the episodes will be much longer than the average one-hour run in previous seasons. According to reports, the six episodes have an extremely large budget, which means no stone will go unturned. Let’s face it, Season 7 had some insane battles and graphics (come on, you can’t tell me that an ice dragon didn’t make your jaw drop). One can only assume that the final season will be just as big, if not bigger.
If you’re looking for some more info. on the new season, we have our favorite girl to thank for the reveal of when everything should be wrapped and just when HBO is dropping that very first episode.
