13. Grey’s Anatomy – “Thanks For The Memories” (Season 2, Episode 9):
There is nothing like reliving old memories in TV shows you know and love. This Thanksgiving episode isn’t funny or humorous, but we get out favorite characters back (George, Cristina, Izzie). It’ll make you cry a bit, as Meredith struggles through some obstacles and Izzie wishes things were a bit different, but you’ll be thankful for your own life and health.
14. Boy Meets World – “Turkey Day” (Season 4, Episode 10):
Ok if you tell me you don’t like Boy Meets World, you’re lying. The 90’s show that showed us what true love and true friendship is all about will always have a special place in our hearts. This episode is one that was way ahead of its time when it first aired, but now, does hold a lot of truth. Cory and Shawn decide to combine their families for Thanksgiving dinner and they’re forced to face the facts that class struggles are real in society – as Cory and Shawn’s families come from different walks of life.
15. Gossip Girl – “Blair Waldorf Must Pie” (Season 1, Episode 9):
Season one of Gossip Girl gives us a bit of a throwback. Remember the days when Chuck was still a d*ck and Blair was really self-conscious (f*ck you Ed Westwick). Blair struggles with her eating disorder and, Nate’s father makes it a holiday to remember by attempting suicide after some legal struggles.
16. The Sopranos – “He Is Risen” (Season 3, Episode 8):
A Sopranos holiday is one filled with a lot of lies, schemes and probably strippers. Of course, this episode is no different. The Thanksgiving holiday this year revolves around a dead stripper, a lot of drugs and Janice bringing home a new boyfriend with narcolepsy. Sounds like a perfect family meal.
