15 Employees Share The Worst Things You Can Ever Order At Restaurant Chains

8. CiCi’s Pizza:

OneHunnaDolla:  Worked at Cici’s pizza for 3 years. Don’t get pizza from the buffet. That buffet pizza has probably been sitting there for a good solid hour. We used to press the spatulas into the old pizza to squish the juice out and make it shiny again. It’s free to custom order any mini pizza to be made right then and there. Do that but don’t order anchovies. You don’t want to know.

9. Bonefish Grill:

AyeFace: Anything with muscles from Bonefish Grill. I used to work at one that left the muscles under the sink, in the dish washing area, for hours on end, before placing them back in the walk in cooler.

10. Panera:

KasperAura:  Former Panera person here. Be careful when you order a salad. Chances are that lettuce has been in there for a few days. Same with the avocados, which we usually just throw into a cold dish.I feel like I’ll get sued if I say this, but it’s best ya’ll know. All our soups are indeed made fresh, but they’re frozen into giant blocks and then dropped into a fridge-like box of really hot water to defrost them. Most of the soups are chicken-based, and not just broth but bones as well. So, don’t be surprised if you find a tiny fragment of bone in your soup.

11. Dave & Busters:

abcdefmariah:  Dave and Busters. Nothing is fresh. People (servers and cooks) will pick food off your plate before running it. If food falls off your plate and onto the counter/expo line, it will usually be thrown back on with bare hands. Everything is disgusting. You couldn’t pay me to eat there.

12. Wendy’s:

Thew211:  The burnt, old, dry meat that sits on the grill for hours is thrown into a hot box where it sits for even more hours until the box gets full. By the time we take it out the meat has turned different shades of light and dark….That is the meat base for Wendy’s chili.

13. Starbucks:

__celli:  At starbucks, every drink that requires a non-dairy base (soy, egg nog, etc.) will have dairy in it. I’ve worked at 8 different starbucks as a manager and I very very rarely see baristas use dedicated soy pitchers. They put milk in tea shakers and don’t replace it with a clean one. And they use the same pitchers/spoons for soy as they do milk.So for all of you vegans and lactose intolerant people, I guarantee you starbucks is feeding you dairy products.

And to the vegetarians, if you’re ordering any of the veggie food items that go into the oven, they are being grabbed and cut by the same tongs and knife used for the meat items.

Also, never order the drip coffee unless you watch them make it fresh. It’s a pain in the dick to make. So most baristas are lazy and just reset the coffee timer when it goes off to avoid having to redo the coffee. So if you didn’t watch them make it fresh, you’re probably getting old nasty coffee.

14. Arby’s:

VanHalenForPrez – I used to work at Arby’s, and not all Arby’s are probably like this but I would never have ordered anything with their roasted chicken or zucchini muffins. The chicken was almost never stored at proper temperatures and the hot storage it was kept in was absolutely nasty. Also zucchini muffins sit out all day uncovered and workers take from them and often touch them without gloves. They sold from the same batch of muffins until they were out so often muffins were multiple days old

15. Steak ‘n Shake:

myowngalactus:  Stay away from the baked beans at Steak ‘n Shake, the little containers they cook them in never get completely clean no matter how many times they are washed. Worked there years ago, don’t know if they still use those containers.
