Ah, remember election day in 2016, when we were full of hope and joy and optimism? Well, no. We weren’t, really, which is why on the one hand, the following jokes can be seen as a piece of revisionist history. But we were certainly full of more joy and optimism than after the election, when the United States went up in flames, and has been on fire, a wild, untamable fire, ever since. A fire fueled by hyperbolized speeches, gun massacres, and a potential war with North Korea started by our Commander in Chief via Twitter. So, yeah, I mean maybe things weren’t all rosy pre-election-2016. But they also weren’t COMPLETELY CONSUMED IN FLAMES.
