Ok, I know he also told Arya that his mother was a tavern wench who passed away when he was young. Who knows what Cersei would do to make sure Robert’s children would never sit on the throne. Cersei would want the child of the man she loved and a pure Lannister running The Seven Kingdoms. She hated Robert but has an undying love for her children, I can’t see her killing one of her own. Maybe pull the old baby swap which is a big part of the books. Maybe give the child away without anyone knowing? With people like Lord Varys floating around anything is possible.

Is it too crazy to believe Cersei lied about her child dying, while really giving the child away? Therefore, securing the Lannister stranglehold on the throne once Robert was out of the way. Cersei also said the baby looked just like Robert before he was taken away. So, there was no doubt in her mind the child was Rob’s even if she was getting it on with her beloved brother at the time. Making sure Robert and any of his heirs no longer in play this paves the way for Joffrey’s evil ass to sit on the Iron Throne.
Now, if you’ve read the books or even recall Maggy the Frog or the witch 10-year old Cersei asked to predict her future. In the book, she answers 3 questions. She eventually shares with young Cersei a few things, including.

Valonqar is High Valyrian for “little brother.” This leads many fans to believe she will eventually be offed by Tyrion or more likely Jamie, her younger twin. In the show Cersei’s conversation with Maggy the Frog goes like this:
Cersei: When will I wed the prince?
Maggy: Never. You will wed the king.
Cersei: I will be queen, though?
Maggy: Aye. Queen, you shall be… until there comes another, younger and more beautiful, to cast you down and take all that you hold dear”
Sup, Daenerys? Maggy continues to answer her next question which is,
Cersei: Will the king and I have children?
Maggy: Oh, aye. Twenty for him, and three for you. Gold shall be their crowns and gold their shrouds.
Since all three of her blonde children have kicked the bucket it’s hard to bet against Maggy the Frog. What about Cersei’s new pregnancy? Is she pulling a Kardashianish stunt? If she has the fourth that means Maggy can kick rocks barefoot and her prophecies are bogus. Perhaps, the valonqar will take care of her before the baby is born and the Frog is back in our good graces. The most interesting part of Cersei potentially being Gendry’s biological mother is his new found friendship.
If this were all true Gendry would have a pretty solid argument it should be him who ends up on the Iron Throne. It would make him King Robert Baratheon’s oldest son and the daughter of the queen of the Seven Kingdoms. Might get a little awkward between Jon Snow/Aegon Targaryen, his aunt/potential baby mama Daenerys Targaryen, and now long lost Gendry. If proven true, all three characters have a decent argument why they should rule the Seven Kingdoms. This could be a very interesting twist as Thrones comes to an end. It’s hard to type those words but it’s the hard truth. Could be complete madness, whose to say? Bottom line I can’t wait to see how they decide to finish out the best show in television history. Fingers crossed they don’t blow it.
