As Game of Thrones set sail to come to an inevitable end sooner than any of us would like – it’s time to say goodbye to some of our favorite characters. Between evil Cersei Lannister, hilarious and punny Tyrion Lannister, dreamy Jon Snow and empowering Daenerys Targaryen – all of our actors will be moving onto new roles and new shows/movies. But, in all reality, most of them could probably stop acting after the finale of Game of Thrones and live comfortably for the rest of their life?
Why?
Because they’ve all made a sh*t ton of money while being on the show. In eight seasons, they’ve made more than most of us will ever make in a lifetime.
According to Variety, the main characters of Game of Thrones – being Emilia Clarke, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, and Lena Headey – all make $500,000 per episode.
Yes, I said PER EPISODE.
That means in Season Seven alone, which was seven episodes long, they all made $3.5 million.
Not to mention, there’s still an entire season coming for us – so they’ll make another $3.5 million from the eighth season. And, let us not forget the previous six seasons beforehand – which, may not have paid as much to start – but eventually, added zeroes to everyone’s paychecks as time went on.
So, while you may feel bad for your beloved Game of Thrones characters in Westeros – don’t – because at the end of the day, they’re rolling around in dolla dolla bills y’all.
