Game of Thrones is a really tricky show to follow. Whenever you get to a new season, you have the urge to start all over again to catch hints, clues and giveaways that you may have missed prior. But, the real kicker is when the Game of Thrones cast conduct interviews with the media and accidentally let things slip.

The fact that Cersei and Jamie Lannister may not be Lannisters at all and instead, are Targaryens.
Crazy thought – right? But, not entirely impossible.
There haven been fan theories online for years that Cersei and Jamie are not Lannisters, but Targaryens from the affair between Aerys Targaryen – the Mad King – and Joanna Lannister. In the books, there are more than several references to a relationship between the two and, it would make a whole lot of sense. For years, the Targaryens have been known for incest and, Cersei and Jamie are the prime example of just that.
Not to mention, Cersei Lannister is basically the Mad Queen – killing, slaying and burning people to keep her title on the throne. As everyone has spoken about the Mad King in such a distasteful way throughout the show, they speak of Cersei in almost the same manner. Coincidence? I think not.
To top this all off, Kristian Nairn – who plays Hodor (RIP) on Game of Thrones – slipped a little tid-bit of information while on the talk show “Thronecast.” He basically said Cersei was “mad like her father,. the Mad King.”
#GameOfThrones any1 else hear this during thronecast? Cersi the daughter of The MadKing 😵 I think Kristian just dropped a spoiler!@paulwatty https://t.co/kjPGqrHaPS

Of course, it could always be a mistake – like this Twitter user thought:
I think @KristianNairn just got it wrong… and no one corrected him.

But – the slip-up opened up a whole new world of theories that maybe, Cersei isn’t a Lannister but a Targaryen. It’s wild enough that we know Jon Snow is indeed a Targaryen, but adding Cersei and Jamie to the mix of the messed-up family would really just make this show all sorts of twisted.
Talk about one big Family Feud.
