No One Expected This Stark Reunion On The Latest “Game of Thrones”

Let me just say – “The Queen’s Justice” was probably one of the best Game of Thrones episodes I’ve ever seen. While people may disagree with me – I can’t imagine a better episode where they have more plot twists, story lines coming together and “moments we’ve all been waiting for” come to light in one, cohesive and well-produced way.

While everyone was waiting for the Dany and Jon Snow meeting above all – the writers and directors of Game of Thrones gave us something that literally no one saw coming at all.

After the second episode of Season 7 – Stormborn – we know that Arya Stark learned her brother, Jon Snow, was alive and the new King of the North. Instead of continuing her kill list and going after Cersei Lannister – she turned around and decides to finally head home to Winterfell (only took you seven seasons, Arya).

So, when Sansa Stark – the new HBIC of the North – was told someone was at the Winterfell gate for her, we were fully, fully expecting it to be Arya Stark.

But – nothing is ever as it truly seems on Game of Thrones, is it?

Who comes rolling into Winterfell?

Bran f*cking Stark.

Of course, this is something that brought everyone to tears (if you didn’t get emotional, I’m questioning your soul) and really, brings a lot of new possibilities to this season. Bran’s the Three-Eyed Raven now and he knows Jon Snow isn’t a Snow, nor a Stark – but a Targaryen. Bran is literally the only person on the show right now who knows this information, therefore, he’s a powerful player in the rest of the season – especially now that he’s reunited with his sister.

While we’re unsure/curious as to how this will all play out, one thing is for sure – we’re always rooting for House Stark. This family has been through more blood baths and loss – for no good reason – and in the end, we always want to see the underdogs come out on top. Forget the Lannisters and honestly – forget Dany and her dragons – because this family is the true essence of perseverance.

Of course, Twitter was in absolute shock/disarray/tears over the Stark reunion.
